在巴基斯坦,一名学童从悬在山谷数百英尺高处的缆车上获救,他说他以为自己“要死了”。

昨天,包括6名学生在内的8人登上了这辆车,在开伯尔-普赫图赫瓦省进行了一次相对平凡的旅行。

但是,支撑这辆车的两条枯萎的电缆突然断裂,使这辆车在不稳定的情况下摇晃了16个小时。这条电缆长期以来一直是与世隔绝的普什图村当地人的生命线。

奥萨马对美联社说,这一切发生得太突然了,我们以为我们所有人都要死了。

一些孩子和两名成年人开始打电话求助,因为大人们不得不缓解学生们的恐惧。

住在巴特格拉姆山区的3万多名居民中,有8000多人前来观看了救援行动。

当地警方称,警方以无视安全措施的罪名逮捕了缆车操作员古尔·扎林(Gul Zarin)。

但对学生们来说,即使是那些经历过可怕磨难的人,这一事件也不会改变什么。

普什图语刻在山腰上,最近的学校在四英里外,学校一度需要几个小时的时间,学生们不得不翻过陡峭的山坡,徒步登山,过河。

但五年前安装了缆车,将通勤时间缩短为10分钟。

另一名获救的学生阿塔乌拉(Ata Ullah)说,我心里害怕乘坐缆车。

“但是我没有别的选择。等缆车修好了,我再去学校。”
